Important update from our factories in Italy

With reference to recent events related to the spread of Coronavirus, and to the restrictions introduced in Italy, we thought it would be good for everyone to know exactly what is happening on the ground.

We confirm that there is complete functionality of our factory east of Venice and the normal continuity of Production.  All staff are present at work, and the transportation of goods throughout Italy, including imports and exports, is guaranteed.

Since the beginning of the emergency we have adopted all necessary measures to protect our workers and staff, our Customers and anyone who interacts with our company.  We have instructed workers to comply with rules transmitted by the National Institute of Health, including procedures for the management of common meeting places and we have strengthened the cleaning and sanitization of all areas.

All staff are equipped with suitable protection. We have implemented smart-working for office staff, limiting unnecessary travel and reducing and controlling the access of external personnel into our site.

Our second factory on the outskirts of Milan in the North of Italy has adopted the same safe practices but is still functioning as usual.

Throughout Italy, workers are only permitted to make necessary and permitted work-related journeys .

In their household lives persons are only allowed to leave on the understanding that their journey is necessary (like going to work or a trip to the supermarket). In the Supermarkets there is lines to help customers to keep one metre away from each other. 

For peace of mind none of the team from the UK office have been to either of our factories in Italy since January.
