Victory in Europe celebrations 8th May

Let's not forget

Whilst we remain in lock down let's not forget the real heroes!  Those who fought and died away from home, and those who stayed behind, through a war that raged for nearly 5 years.

Tomorrow marks the 75th Anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day which took place on the 8th May 1945 - marking the end of World War II.

During last year the Government moved the 4th May Bank Holiday Monday to Friday 8th (upsetting all the calendars that were already printed) with the intention to mark the date in a special way making it coincide with a National holiday.
